dads in distress

I am sorry to bring this here, but as a father who has discovered the role I play is worthless now except to the children who dont count, this picture has played on my mind over and over... i hope things get better for those who follow. In Australia 5 men a day commit suicide.

Fortunately, there is help out there. The hardest part is to take the first step, either to pick up the phone, post a message on the appropriate wbsite, or even to talk to someone face to face.

Checking a couple of Australian websites, gives me the belief it is a big problem, but not often discussed.

Beyondblue and Bluepages are just a few, as i'm sure there are similar ones in other countries.

A long time ago i was told, drumming is an alternative therapy, that can assist in helping with depression.

Drumming Therapy is a method of utilizing the natural power of rhythm and music and applying it to an individual or group for the purpose of healing. A truly holistic healing approach, group drumming breaks down social barriers, promotes freedom of expression, non-verbal communication, unity and cooperation. Drumming awakens dormant emotions and unexplainable feelings of excitement, peace, and ecstacy. It decreases depression, anxiety, and stress, boosts immune system functioning and benefits physical health.
This is when i found out about the Blue Man Group, and the reason behind the name.
This the start of their live show called "The Complex Rock Tour". Needs a bit of volume.
