I stare at the casket;
Draped with the nation's cloth.

I'm momentarily startled;
As the guns go off.

Another fallen soldier;
Being laid to rest.

I struggle to breathe;
For this tightness in my chest.

The bugler so smooth;
As he hits every note.

It is hard to swallow;
Because of this lump in my throat.

Tears fall like rain;
As I look to the sky.

No matter how many times I hear it;
Taps still makes me cry.

The bugle now silent;
As we pray for the dead.

I gather myself;
As I bow down my head.

Lord bless these heroes;
Who have given their lives.

Comfort their children;
Their husbands and wives.

Let us not forget;
They have given their all.

Let the bugle be silent;
Let no more soldiers fall.

The above post is framed in our house.
As this is a VERY special day in our house as we have 3 folded Flags.
1. For my Mom's dad during WWII USS Enterprise Aircraft carrier Chief Petty Officer
1. For my Dad from Korea Top Secret air wing Senior Master Sargent
1 For my younger Brother Desert Storm 3rd Battalion 2nd Armour Tank Commander Bronze star recipient & a graduate from West Point.

So it is with the greatest respect and admiration for our Men And Women serving this Great Nation. I say Thank You for your past and present service.
And wish those now serving to hopefully return home to your love ones ASAP.

My oldest brothers wife has ~5~ children serving in the military. She had to special order the 5 star flag, as no one stocked one. The company that made it didn't charge when they sent it. I hold everyone who served, and serves, in highest regard. A Guy

With the end of free Win 10, should us 8-bit veterans abandon Win 7?
Well, the title of the thread says it all. Are we obliged to abandon an OS that has worked for us, in order to move into the future with Win 10? The question I have is what will the landscape of desktop computing be in four years? With the dramatic move to cloud computing coupled with the...
