    Black Friday Shopping

Anybody here planning on going shopping on Black Friday? Its a tradition for my cousin and I to get up early and go to a store and try and get the one deal I want. Not sure what I'm going to try and get this year, but I got an email this morning about the Radio Shack and Target ads getting leaked and I might try and get a new GPS and some of the DVDs they have for the sale.

See anything that you guys want?

I never bother...in my opinion...it seems people get in line for things that look like deals...but then end up with something (make, model, etc)..that they really didn't want or need...but got it simply because it was such a good deal. It's way too much effort and there is always such low stock that you often have to camp out, etc...in order to get what you want. I just feel that my time has more value.

It is the Friday after Thanksgiving (fourth Thursday in November). The stores usually open at 3 or 4 AM. The people almost sleep in front of the stores to be first in line. It is crazy.

Theres usually huge discounts on TVs or Computers or Video Game Systems, but each store only has anywhere from 1-100 of that TV so people line up and save their spots so that they can be the first ones in. In the past its been a pretty good sales and nothing bad, however last year I believe it was a WalMart employee was trampled to death and was very sad, so a lot of store are letting people get the same deals online to try and cut down on the rush.

It's no effort at all. . . I just shop on line. If it's not available on line, then I just pass.
