    My buddy has a clapper that turns the lights off if you laugh too loud. It sucks. I'll point him in the direction of that star trek one, where did you pick that up

    Years ago, my friend's father had the clapper hooked to their Christmas tree lights. This man was a two-pack-a-day smoker for decades, and in his sleep, his coughing would cycle the lights from the tree on and off, even though his room was about three meters down the hall!

    I didn't have a problem with other noises tripping the clapper, because it has a sensitivity control on the side. If it is turned toward the sensitive side, it is for the purpose of causing a burglar to think that someone is at home.

    To tell you the truth, I never saw any mention of it in the instructions and I never tried it.

    I might have to research that...or see if I can find the instructions.

    I do remember when I got it, it had to be "trained", I had to say the commands several times, so I don't see why you couldn't "train it" to respond to just about any word or language.

    Hmmm...I might have to play around with that later
