    What revenue model does this site have or actually many of the online forums have?

    Just curious. Most sport no ads, dont accept donations and dont have registration fees. Possible expenditures- server space, server maintenance, website maintenance etc.

    So how does it work? looks like some individuals' initiative and labour of love.

    vBulletin 3.8.5 to be exact. I checked in view source there is a comment that tells the version.

    I messed up yesterday when I changed the ad insertion script and missed switching them off to your usergroup.

    They should be gone now.
