    Its Snowing and Big Time

I am going through withdrawals. This snow is going to cause me a great deal of problems with my "Golf Game."

It has been snowing for almost forty-eight hours now and there are eighteen inches of new snow. Had to break down and put the snow plow on the pickup and plow myself out. Not only is it snowing, but it is also very cold out there (9 degrees F with a wind chill of -10 degrees F).

Went out and beat a couple of balls out into the north forty (stupid me I used white ones), and now I cannot find them. Guess will head down to Wally World to see if they have some of those pretty orange golf balls. The only problem with going to Wally World is the fools with their two wheel front drives will be sitting in the Irrigation channels, and being expecting me stop and pull them out. Oh, well it is fun to see their faces when attempting to explain how they ended up in a four foot deep channel.

More later, after I get home (hopefully without mishap).:)

    Lee,
I played golf where there was frost on the greens and I was bundled up with long winter underwear, snow pant and Jacket. Colder than hell........
    1st Hole...par 5 I got an eagle
    2nd Hole... par 4 I birdied it
The next 2 I got pars on them.....then the sun broke through and got warm so I started shedding clothes and my scoring went to hell in a hand basket. Scored less than 90 but more than 80
    Don't figure does it?

WHS, 85 degrees F in Germany this time of the year. . .must be having a Santa Anna. . .

Howling Wolves, the reason you did so well for the first few holes is because of all the clothes, once you remove them you weren't able to keep yourself straight enough anymore. . .:)

But this time of the year I am in Florida - just for that reason. In Germany it is miserable right now like by you. They even had to close some airports and many trains could not run because of the snow drifts. I hear the reports all the time on my webradio.

Lee, he's in Florida now :)

One of my favourite courses is Green Zone Golf in Tornio (Finland) and Haparanda (Sweden) in Lapland. First nine holes are in Finland, the second nine in Sweden. In the summer it's really cool feeling to play late in the evenings, with Midnight sun giving light.
