plain old belkin 7633-4 - much better than my old 7632.

does the job, was cheap and has a tendency to get hot.

also i have to disable my software av to get to router settings page under win 7.

So, I'm the only one that said "None". Why? I have ONE computer. Yes, you read right : ONE computer. Not two, not three, ONE.

    No need for routers then.

You would still get benefit from having a router even though you only have one computer, it would act as a barrier between your machine and the Internet especially if it was a NAT enabled one.
