Today, I'm going to try a new recipe for dinner. It's old fashioned cabbage rolls. But as with any new recipe, I'll make some adjustments by adding a little more spices and some chopped up meatballs.

Been seeing my neurologist quite regularly lately, back and forth between home and the clinic. It seems I still have a couple of small blockages in arteries right side of my head. Taking some blood thinning medicine now, but if the situation does not change I have to get stronger medicine (heparin shots), which would mean staying in the hospital at least a few days to be controlled. I just hate hospitals, so I'm praying my blood thinners to kick in!

Other than that, life is getting better every day. I speak almost normally already although there's always going to be a small lisp. Walking alone, with cane but anyway. Can mostly take care of myself.

Life is good, Angie is beautiful, I have nothing to complain (except that Mac OSX still sux!).

P.S. Dinesh, I'm keenly waiting your news...

Kari, hope the blood thinnners are successful, and of course, be careful shaving while you are taking them!:)

Kari, I surely hope the blood thinners work and you can avoid another hospital stay.

Congratualtions, Dinesh!

Kari--I wish you the best! You seem to have a good positive mental attitude; and I know from experience that a positive mental attitude will help you heal. This is why I know that for certain: Back in 1959 I was a patient at the Ohio State TB hospital. I spent several months on the surgery floor and ended up having part of my lung removed. I knew when I got there that I was to have surgery. I was admitted to the hospital in July and didn't have my surgery until November. The reason I was there for long before the surgery was because my TB was such that they could not preform surgery until it was "arrested" as they told me. In those days, as long as you had TB, you had to be confined. That's the way it was in Ohio. It's not that way now as things have changed. Anyway, about the good positive mental attitude. I've always been a good observer of human nature. I noticed that there were certain patients who complained constantly. To them the doctors were no good, the nurses were no good, the food was not fit to eat, etc.,etc. Constantly complaining. Others always seem content with a good cheerful attitude. I know as a fact that the ones who complained all the time, had the most problems after surgery. They didn't complain because they had problems; the fact is, they had problems because they were in a constant bitter attitude. So, Kari, a good attitude and a good sense of humor will help heal you. I know from experience. So, hang in there. All your friends here are pulling for you.By the way, the doctors were amazed at how fast and how well I healed.
