That would be a dream come true to be able to taste that whisky. The oldest in my bar at the moment is a bottle of 30 year old Talisker, a nice single malt from the Isle of Skye.

Dennis, blood thinning operation is why I need whisky... The more whisky in my veins, the less blood?

    Kari,
"The more whisky in my veins, the less blood?"
The less blood the less oxygen carried to your brain.

Tell Boo to sober Santa up he only has 330+/- days to do it all over again...

Today I am finally feeling myself again enough to post here again.

Around Christmas my long term health condition took a turn for the worst and I have been a little too ill to post much other than keeping in touch with the other mods and admins.

I am glad to say that it appears that the latest change to my meds (including a dose comprising 8 steroid tablets at once ), appears to be working and the COPD Exacerbation seems to be under control.

Sorry that I have not let people know where I've been and a public thank you to BooBah for reminding me, indirectly, of my oversight, but I should now be back to normal once I have caught up with missed sleep

PS. It's great to be home

    Welcome back Nigel.

    --------------------------
    FYI
No kidney stone or UTI. Pleural effusion definitely- fluid between lung and pleural sack/ribs- and a mass unknown on ultrasound- might just be part of the fluid build up around the lung. Ultrasound isn't a definite on such things. The angle of the probe from below the rib cage looking back up towards your neck and the mass is up around my shoulder blade/scapula- which is where the pain is. You can't ultrasound through the ribs. So you have to go below and look up. Definitely fluid just hoping it isn't blood.
So they sent me over for a chest and abdomen Cat Scan.
No results yet. Within the hour if Doc got them back or in the morning.
    Mike

    Howdy Jfar!!

    Truce until further notice.
