Today at 9:30am I have to go to Milton Keynes Hospital to have my cast/arm x-rayed, don't like Hospitals and not looking forward to it
Ciara hi.. So sorry about the cast...ok ...You must have a broken bone to have a cast on it.. if it's just an Xray that's not a big problem.. .. I broke the bone near my thumb not long ago , right hand.. wore that thing for 6 weeks.. at first it went almost to my shoulder / from my full hand cast.. with thumb being exposed.. then just below my elbow... for 3 weeks..was glad to get it off... I must say I was a great patient with it... I did figure out how to get my clothing off and on.. including my bra..closed it. I put it over my feet .. then shimmied it up to where it belonged..with one hand going from side to side pulling and tugging it along... should have made a video.. lol..alone..do my hair .. shampoo included..brush my teeth..I surprised myself.. as time wore on.at how my mind would figure out quicker and better ways to get things done.... so don't give up.. keep at it .. You'll be okay.
Keep us informed .. on your progress..please...
this won't last forever..
hugs
LPt
Hi LPt and thank you, had an x-ray (I broke my ulna and radius in my right forearm) but had a very nice Doctor show me the x-ray and he said the bones are knitting well and I wont have any problems , getting quite good using my left hand now !
Glad to hear that the break is healing well Ciara, I expect it will feel very strange when the cast is removed and you have to start working it again.
Take care, don't know about your way but at least the snows gone from around here so it's safer to walk again.:)
So glad to hear your bones are mending well, Ciara. And LadyP -- goodness, you are a champ!
I have been shopping etc and haven't been walking Gracie because it is too wet. Also I have bidded on this gamepad: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=230567493250
