Today, is the last day of the year here. 7ime has flown by so quickly, where has it gone?
Hopefully you're OK in your part of the world, I saw on the news yesterday about the terrible flooding in Queensland, so if anyone is from that area who comes here I hope they are safe.
I'm sorry to hear about your horrible experience Kari. I'm afraid that the far right are on the rise right across Europe. It always happens during a recession-let's blame foreigners!
On the other hand I am overjoyed to hear that you are getting into town on your own. shopping, having a beer with friends and so on.
That far exceeds the situation I was imagining you in and shows a tremendous amount of willpower and hard work on your part.
So well done and don't let these idiots cloud your outlook.
All the very best for the New Year, John
I'm fine Joan - I'm in Adelaide, South Australia, a good 1000 miles distant from north Queensland. Fortunately we don't see many floods, but its the bushfire season that concerns us down here.
I have been walking Gracie as usual, below are some more photos of Battle. Some of these I couldn't take the other day as it was still icy. The last two are of our bungalow and our back garden. If you want some information about something in the photos please ask me. Enjoy.
That looks a lovely place to live Carl , you are so lucky , we have had nothing but low cloud the last few days
Tornado Warnings for another half hour.
The storms are moving at 60mph+.
Looks like rain and thunder here.
We are in the split again. One went north by 5 the other appears going south by 5 miles or so.
Not good for St. Louis County.
If I disappear the power went out I didn't leave "Illinois with Toto".
