All that technology ... all of those VHS tapes ...
LOL, yeah I see them at garage sales for $.25 and .50 so I grab a couple and they stack up, generally they are movies I have never seen, I have piles of DVD's, regular and HD plus Blu-Ray as well.
My other desk is where the laptop is that I use most of the time and the staging area where I'm troubleshooting a PC and setting up a new one. It currently has one in testing mode after the mobo, RAM and HDD were replaced and I have another I just completed the setup and testing on for my friend and will move it to his place after the new year holiday so he can close out the year on his old PC and begin the new year business on the new PC. There was no way I was taking a photo of that cyclone area!

My own design.

Some of the carpentry work is pretty poor, but I have learned from this experience and will get a better crew next time.

Nice, pillainp! The desk looks fantastic!

Are the bars on the windows to keep you in ... or to keep people out?

A little bit of both. :-)

Its actually just a verandah outside the window. There is an old palanquin there that belonged to my dad's family.

Thanks about the desk.

A wonderful and happy New Year to you.

Wow, bigmck, that is gorgeous! I don't think I have the funds to make mine that fancy - in fact, I know I don't.

In a few weeks, I'll update, although, I may not move back downstairs until after winter. It's much warmer upstairs and, in the winter, I prefer it that way. .

I may still have the shoe boxes unless I feel like getting really creative.
