This is nearly a year and a half ago.

Since then I've gotten rid of the monitor shelf, replaced the laptop with a Hanns G, replaced the older HP printer with a newer one and got rid of the scanner.

Also added a DIR-655 router, a Manfrotto tripod, and a 2TB external HD.

The aging laptop went downstairs to act as the weather station server. It was so aging I put a fist through it and thus have a newer Toshiba notebook running 7 and interacting great.

Now I will replace the stupid aging DLINK Media Server (that won't play well with WPA and any firmware upgrade over 2.01) in the exercise (stationary bike) room with a brand new Samsung networked blu ray player.

Note in the photo my SUPERCOOL case stand----that is two old, not in use anymore emachine towers--PERFECT furniture !!

OK, seeing as I did re-arrange my whole area, I may as well post my cable arrangement fixed to the back of my desk.....just because I can

One month after purchase and set-up of desk, a total mess. I didn't bother to set-up my HP Mini Netbook.

Too old to crawl under the desk
When I wanted to install an independent system (e.g. Win8) on another drive than my current OS drive, I used to crawl under the desk, remove the side panel, disconnect the cable of the OS disk and proceed. When the installation was done, same procedure in reverse order. I am really to old and too...

Seagate FA GoFlex Desk external hardrive doesn't show in "My Computer"
I reimaged my computer because I was having a whole bunch of trubble with it (no of which really matter now). After reimaging I tried to access some of the files I saved on my external hard drive, but no matter what I tried I could not get access to the files. The drive appears in device...

Win7 on desk top
I just talked my wife into allowing me to update her XP desktop with Win 7 64 bit. She fought me with everything she had until this week to prevent the upgrade. I've been running win 7 on my notebook since the beta release. Her desktop has a Asus P5B-E mother board. My question is this....win 7...
