What a great bunch of screen shots, I'm so jealous I haven't had a cell phone for over 12 years now.

I've spent hours researching smart phones and I'm even more confused. I was thinking the Droid or the HTC I'm just not cool enough for an iPhone besides where I'm moving all I've heard is how bad the reception and drop calls are with At&t.

So my brother has switched to T-Mobile and says he has much better success with his phone but I'm also looking at Sprint and Verizon so... Man to much information any suggestions for South East Texas. Around the 77568 area code?
    Thanks. Fabe
I agree, Eric. AT&T is a horrible network with bad coverage and customer support.
    You may try this...

    HTC Evo 4G (Sprint)
    Google Nexus One
    iPhone 4 (AT&T/Verizon)
    Blackberry Bold 9700
    Nokia n8
    Samsung Galaxy S i900
Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc (brand new)
    HTC Desire HD

Those are my current fav phones.

iPhone 4 is also available on Verizon.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the more homework!
Just kidding I appreciate any input I can get as a phone is one of the first things on my list after the move.

Thanks Dean. The battery life sucks. Samsung says it should be fixed when Android 2.3 is rolled out for Galaxy S. However, I turn off Background data and Auto Sync. It helps increase battery life. It still manages to last for a day with all the browsing, calls, texts and video/music.

I heard it's battery life is no good (probably the AMOLED display that's causing it).

Although, Samsung is making a 2nd generation which will make the battery life better and better AMOLED display.

Yes, its the Super AMOLED display which eats all the battery.
BTW, here's the successor of Galaxy S.

Super AMOLED usually has better power consumption. It's 20% better than AMOLED, which had lower power consumption than SLCD due to being able to handle colours like black better.

Flashed an Android 2.3.2 ROM on mine recently. Been running very smoothly, great battery life, with various added features. Only downside to this ROM atm is the current kernel needs a bit more work on it as write speeds to the SD card while it's mounted on the phone are quite slow, but each kernel update speeds it up. And I do miss some of the things from Sense, especially the widgets.

Will be better once the Nexus One gets 2.3 as then the ROMS for the Desire will be able to get a lot of stuff from the Nexus One.
