a clash of colours can still look stylish..
I am 70 and have gone through lots of fads. From beach bum in San Diego to coat and tie at work. Now retired it is blue jeans (Wrangler) and t-shirts in winter (not too cold in Louisiana). In summer it is shorts and t-shirts. When I travel I always collect t-shirts as souvenirs. I have some polo shirts if I need to dress up a little, but still with jeans. Wife got me a nice leather coat last year and is very dressy. With old friends and relatives dying and young ones getting married, I got me a nice dark blue suit with black wingtips. Add a little color with nice shirts and ties. Its all comfortable and neat. Since I retired I now have a full white beard. I can not stand these guys that have a 2 day growth. Looks like they are too damn lazy to shave, but that is the new cool.

gotta agree with you on the lack of a shirt with a jacket..
but it's that trend towards the laid-back approach to fashion generally, I reckon..
some rules don't seem to apply any longer - probably no bad thing..
must say, that particular outfit looks good on that particular model..
my turkey-neck might not look quite so - er, fashionable
- looks OK on Clint Eastwood, though..
- sure is growing old gracefully, ain't he..??
a roll-neck sweater might make more sense from my point of view..
- but mebbe I should be more daring on that score, also..?
