    5. Can you decipher the following:

      • 13 S on the U S F 13 Stripes on the United States Flag.
    6. A movie actor/director died on this day (25th December). He was famous for having a cane and a bowler hat. Who was he, and in which year did he die ? Charles (Charlie) Chaplin, 1977.
    7. Again on this day (25th December), what object was stolen from Westminster Abbey and in which year ? The Stone of Scone, 1950.
    8. In which year was the popular Charles Dickens novel A Christmas Carol written and first published ? 1843.
    9. An easy one this: Who is the main character in the above novel ? Ebeneezer Scrooge
    10. Can you pair up the following carols with their correct tunes (title of carol; tune):
      • O come, all ye faithful; Mendelssohn Adeste Fideles
      • In the bleak mid-winter; Irby Cranham
      • Angels, from the realms of glory; Adeste Fideles Iris
      • Hark! the herald angels sing; Cranham Mendelssohn
      • Once in royal David's city; Iris Irby

    I've heard of Mr. Dukenfield, but hadn't realised until I checked that he had also died on Christmas Day.
