I thought i would start this thread for anyone who wants to share what was the highlight of the year for themselves or friends /relatives.
for me its a few simple ones
1-being the main carer for my son as mum has started university degree (each day is a highlight)
2-New computer!
3- Snow in cornwall (a rarity!)
4-Making new friends and doing well on sevenforums and badges, reps etc
1) My work continues to make me feel worthwhile and there have been several highlights throughout the year.
2) One of these was a trip to Tate Liverpool. This was both a personal and professional highlight as we viewed the biggest exhibition of Picasso works ever staged in this country. This was the first time I and some of the mentally ill people I work with, had seen a real Picasso. It was fantastic.
3) I can't recall whether it was the beginning of this year or the end of the last one that I built my first computer from scratch. Very satisfying thing as I'm not normally very good at that kind of thing so I surprised myself.
4) Also this year I split up with my long term girlfriend. This was good for both of us. The relationship had become a habit rather than a romance. She has moved away and is much happier and I find that I am more content than I was.
Contented is a great feeling
Not In any particular order, except number one...........
Birth of our grandson.
Our son married a beautiful young lady.
Ourbitchfemale dog had a litter of beautiful puppies.
Built Sally a new computer with our first ssd, 6tb of storage and 12gig of ram.
Both of us got a 27" screen and now run dual monitors. (good for us oldies with poor eye sight)
I'm sure there is more, but these stand out above all else.
Both of us are still reasonably healthy.
Thanks for sharing john and jon ,it seems we are the only folk here on 7f that had highlights we want to share, im sure there must be more members that had personal treats over the year, come on guys !
