    The Ashes 2010/2011

Now, despite living in Australia (and sitting my citizenship next year), I am actually a UK citizen (in fact, I'm also a South African citizen but thats another story), and married into a family from a little town called Chorley in Lancashire (zero10 may know it as its close to Standish).

So, it is with some great pride that I would like to say how bloody pleased I am that England has once more retained the Ashes. Australia has been a dominant force in World cricket for the better part of a decade, but the time has come to hand over the reigns once more to the mother country. I wonder whether Australia will come back in force for the final test at the SCG?

For those of you not familiar with The Ashes, you can read about it here

I think it is very good for the aussies to have been beaten in such a convincing fashion as they had become arrogant and complacent. The selectors might now start to consider putting together a fresh young hungry team together. This english team is pretty bloody good and has some wicked batters and bowlers and good in the paddock as well. As for the fifth test the aussies will really have to pick up their game to win it and at the moment they are utterly demoralised.

And congratulations on becoming homgenized next year.

    Hey, thanks:)

Yeah, England totally outclassed Australia, but I don't like to see it so one-sided. The Punter deserves better : he should walk away on a high like Hayden did. I'm not sure the Pup is up to it. It's time to bring in the fresh blood.

Bugger the one-sided argument it's been one sided for to long now. The Australian team have become bad losers and worse winners (arrogant). But the punter has been a good captain and at the moment is not up to form. And as in any job if you don't do it well you get the arse.Having said that I hope the next test is a good match and not just another walk over.

    That we have.

It appears to be a bad habit we picked up from another country that tended to once behave that way regarding any form of superiority.

On the plus side, there should be less of these clowns selling cereal in advertisements for 2011
