A completely biased comparison of the iPod touch and Zune HD

Zune:
Nvidia Terga
IE clone
Fast processor
Music, videos, games, podcasts, pictures, radio

iPod:
Apple crap
Safari clone
Decent processor
Music, videos, games, podcasts, pictures

Looks like the Zune wins here!

The Zune HD looks slick, but it's missing one of the biggest selling points of the Touch - the app store. The touch has an entire development platform with a huge amount of support from independent developers to major software houses.

I'm really surprised that MS is still chasing the media player market so hard. We've gotten to the point where music and video functionality are getting integrated into phones to create sort of super communication devices, making dedicated media players redundant. It doesn't make sense to have a dedicated music player anymore when so many devices have matured enough to integrate what is now trivial functionality.
