The board does look sweet, but it has:

4 x SATA II port
2 x SATA III port (Intel)
2 x SATA III port (Marvell)

From the end user's perspective it would be better, if the board has 8 x SATA III port (Intel). After all, the SATA III port is backward compatible with the previous version of the SATA devices.

Also, the Marvell chip utilizes PCIe x1 lane that does not support the full speed of SATA 3.0, hopefully the Intel ports will.

I Agree, i imagine there will be many other versions of this board to come. This one probably being the Standard test version.
