War baby in 1943. My father left when I was 2yrs old and left my Mother to raise 4 kids.
Saw him once in my lifetime that I remembered. Once too many!

With these Dad stories, mine was a Sergeant in the Marines + a MP so that was fun (Not) growing up I did not serve our country I serve for my Dad At home

I was a war baby as well, 1943, never knew my birth Mum or Dad I was adopted just before I was three by people old enough to be my grandparents so didn't grow up having grandparents to spoil me.
