Is there an easy way to search the Tutorials only?
Many times I would like to search the Tutorials to see if there is one for a specific topic. Right now, to search the Tutorials only, I have to click on Search then Advanced Search, then enter my search args and scroll down to Tutorials.
Is there an easier way? If not, a Search Tutorials box would be nice
Edit: I see I can click on the Magnifying glass in the Search box at top right to bypass a few steps. I can live with that.

Hmmm, then again perhaps not. For instance, I searched on
paging file change using
Advanced Search,
Search by keyword
Search in forums = Tutorials.
I expected to see this one listed but it isn't: Virtual Memory Paging File - Change - Vista Forums
so how do I use Advanced Search to search just the Tutorials and get reasonable results?

try this

I've found an easy way to search tutorials, you might to want to try it, too. Just bookmark Tutorial Quick Reference Index in one page printable form ( Windows 7 Forums - Windows 7 - Tutorial Index), then use the browser Find on this page feature to search.
Easy and fast. Sorry to say it but beats the h*** out of vBulletin's search functions.

Searching the index doesn't do it as that requires you to specify the search arguments in the exact order they appear in any of the titles.
Searching for paging file change doesn't find anything.
Has to be paging file - change.
Why doesn't vBulletins search find anything when I specify paging file change with Tutorials as the forum to search? Sounds to me like something is briken.
Keri, your way is better than any so far so that's what I'll use for now but it means I have to use single word searches most of the time as I have no way of knowing how the author of the tutorial may have strung words together in the title.

Some tutorials are at Vista Forums instead of Seven Forums, and are only referenced in the Tutorial Index here. This is why some of them will not be in the search results, but are listed in the Index.
You would just need to know the main topic/subject you are looking for in the Index, and go to that letter to find it.
For example, you could just click on "P" at the top and find "Page File" or "Paging File" listed in alphabetical order though.
Hope this helps,

I've added a google custom search box at the top of the tutorial section on the "sf default ....." skins, it does produce better results than the lousy vbulletin search.
I'll test it out over the next few days and if it's working ok I'll add it to the other skins.
