the Wireless, in case you have issues with it or anything (or want the latest driver) GO: Linksys by Cisco - WMP600N Support

THAT wireless thingy support XP and Vista 32-bit & + 64-bit...

YOUR graphic card choice is good... IMO.... Hard disk: AVOID SEAGATE (thank god you didn't choose that) Google 'Seagate 7200.11 brick' and be proud you didn't go for Seagate.:) If you can get the Western Digital 1 TB less expensive I would go for that...

IMO, i7 is a super waste of money......... Since you said your gonna wait for till i5, after a few month after i5 comes out DDR 3 should be cheaper (assumption), get a comp with i5 then.
Either 2*2 GB or 4*2 GB RAM then.... i7 go for triple channel sets...

Mind as well add WINDOWS 7 64-bit Home Premium in the list to... he... he...:)

PSU: Better get a 550 W (AT LEAST) model... In my country theres a lot of weird PSU brands.... not so popular in other countrys SO, don't ask me....

WOW, kids these days... Look here kid, I'm also a kid here... I don't go asking my dad for new computers......
I think my system specs will tell ya what **** I've got to use... It also runs like 'VROOOOOOOM' when gaming ... Normal Windows using (surfing 7forums,Word, etc...) its so loud that you get irritated FAST! Solution: put on the music... BTW, What to do, Socket 478 P4 were extremely hot and noisy.... sigh... Wish my dad bought an AMD system instead of 478 in 2004.....

I'm entering my sophmore year of HS.

Akash, that sucks! At least you can get Word processing done... My computer will find a way to f*** itself up before I'm finished with the first page.

I'm busy saving money for a car, and a computer just isn't as important. I do some picture editing for my dad (as in graphics for products he sells), and my computer can barely run it (Word processing is something my computer simply will not do no matter what. It's the wierdest thing...).

My dad has only bought me one computer before, a PPC Mac Mini G4. And he doesn't like computers, so that was a big deal. In fact, to show you how much he hates computers, when my Mac Mini spontaneously combusted (overheating killed it...), he made me go buy my own computer without saying so much as, "Sorry to hear that, that really sucks. (Although, I don't care that he didn't)"

I'm hoping since now is the summer, and my birthday is coming up (this August), I might have one in my future, so I'm trying to plan now.

And as a note about what you guys are saying about the i7, I'm just listing stuff that I would like at the moment. Once the i5 comes out, I will have a look at it. But I prefer the bigger L2 cache so if I want to run a dedicated server, than I shouldn't have any lag. At least, that's what I think L2 is for...

I understand not wanting to blow money on a gaming desktop. In a few years you'll spend all your free time either drunk or studying in college, and forget video games existed. It happens to us all.
