Several favorite dishes make me happy so I'll list one that's sort of a snack.

Texas Sweet Onion cooked right in the coals.

You take the outter layer off and cut them in 1/2, then scoop off a small portion off each top. 5 - 6 drops of vanilla extract in the scoop topped off with butter. Wrapp `em up in foil like a huge hersheys kiss and onto the fire coals. About 15 minutes and mmmmm.

Nothing better than Mrs. T's potato and cheddar pierogies. It's the best combination ever of cheese, onion, butter, pasta, and potatoes.
    Mmmmm. love those pierogies! :)

However, in response to the topic starter, I must say, out of all of the foods I enjoy, I love a good bowl of Macaroni and Cheese. Not the Kraft stuff. Homemade. For some reason, it makes me happy.

There are many other foods that do so, as well, but, since I can only pick one, Mac-n-Cheese it is (but a chicken pot pie is a close second, along with french onion soup).

    Dear kado,
Have you tasted the pickles of South India? There is one particular pickle which for storing purposes, we add an oil called' AVA OIL"! I KNOW FOR A FACT that,at least in my state of Andhra Pradesh-> 80-90% of homes store that pickle called "[B]AVAKAYA[B] (sorry for all those bold types)!

If one eats the properly "GRANDMA" made spine shiver Avakaya, i bet it's your eyes that drool tears out first, later the palette! Now check out this pic.mate!

I' ll give you the recipe (got to ask mom) , if you add to my rep.

    Delightfully yours,
    Sreedhav

    Dear spinefex,
You must have been in the war, otherwise using Viagra without checking the heart's health is ........! Using Viagra without any breathlessness, palpitations, etc indicate a health heart in an ageing body, yet fit!

Been to USA twice, to attend conferences on Diabetes and was stunned to see many a fat to obese teenagers! It's not only the junk food that contributes, but also the lack of will power and inspiration to play a vigorous set of tennis, football, cycling, trekking that's contributing to this obese epidemic in USA & India too!

Computer games are so addictive, these guys are becoming couch potatos! Very bad scene indeed!

I have talked to a few Viet. veterans who were so fit as if combat-ready and they too were deploring how the Generation Next has become lazy!

    Regards,
    DR.Sreedhav.
