they tracked the villages cats and had sat links to see the cats activity from the sensors on the collars.

what was interesting was the idea that cats time share their territory so they go out at a certain time as thats their allocated time slot .

Sometimes I will shut a door to a bedroom and not know the cat is in the room.

Kudos for doing that, both the cats I had were rescues. He looks very healthy and happy. He's keeping his eyes on you, maybe he's hungry. :)

The doors don't get shut during the day here and I'd been through the place many times, besides I'd let her out for her last outing before being in for the night and she never came back. She usually comes when I call her name, she always has before.
