Have you tried petty crime, anti-social behaviour and vandalism. Seems to keep most of the 16 year old's around where I live active and prevents boredom

Ah, therein lies the root of your boredom. Anti-boredom activities generally lend themselves to doing for others without benefiting yourself.

There's this a little bit pervert thing I've occasionally tested to fight boredom. It's called The Life.

It can include almost anything you want to, for instance meeting friends in café, sports, going to a walk, all kind of DIY activities like for instance building a set of garden furniture or a model airplane, camping, swimming, cycling. The list is almost endless.

       Warning
The Life is a known cause of spending less time online and can thus cause some severe withdrawal symptoms. However, trustworthy clinical studies have shown that if the patient has the willpower to fight these withdrawal symptoms, a life outside the virtual online world is possible.
