I learned at 17 that I wasn't invincible and could be injured all too easily.
I learned at 21 that binge drinking is overrated, and that and I wasn't a 'drinker'.
I learned at 25 that I can fall into a rut at any age.
I learned at 28 the true meaning of a broken heart.
I learned at 30 that I'm tired of being a risk taker: job security is golden.
I learned at 34 that health insurance might actually be worthwhile.
Now I dread what I'll learn when I hit 40, let alone 75. On that note, my father will be turning 76 this year.
