Evidence Eliminator

Hi All ..

First I wanted to say thanks for having me on you're forum .. I was wondering if anyone new where the link was for the free Evidence Eliminator .. (not the 30 day free trial one) .. I found it on Google some time ago and I did a Reformat and lost the link .. I spaced out on not saving it .. I have been looking for it and have no idea where it is .. Thanks in advance .. Dave67 ..

Hi Dave,

By the sounds of it you want to perform a secure scrubbing of your hard disk? In case someone doesn't come up with the link you requested, you can also use the open source program Eraser.

It offers several erasing algorithms/methods, from relatively fast DoD 5520 7 pass to the very slow (but extremely secure) Gutmann 35 pass.

Officially, Microsoft has said that it is still taking tester feedback and is refining the SKU set for Windows 7. Unofficially, we've already deduced that there will probably be Home Premium, Business, Ultimate, and Enterprise editions, at the very least. There's also talk of a Small Business...
