When 'Off the Wall' came out, it was ahead of its time. I remember having the album stuck to my wall. Then Thriller came out and it was the beginning of a new era. Those who were old enough to have been there remember the impact of it was beyond anything that had come before - or since.

does it really matter? since 5:00 est, im guessing over 1000 people have died.
celebrities lives, are in no way shape, or form, more important than anyone else.
and I dont understand why people seem to think so.

No one said they were more important than another. Of course they aren't, people die all over the place all the time. Just sometimes some may have had positive influences/memories from watching/seeing/hearing widely known celebrities growing up that they may have some sort of connections to, and when they're gone, they're missed.

Or something like that. But yeah, everyone's important, and when anyone dies abruptly, it's sad all the same, IMO.

I just got done discussing something very similar. The only reason that celebrities get spoken about so much after death is because they are popular and well known, and as you said some had positive influences.

Lol... If you ever show up at my door, don't expect a warm welcome.

Though if you spare me I'm sure you'll get a cookie (or two! )
