Dinesh, mobile broadband is one thing, a DSL / ADSL / VDSL or cable subscription something else.

I agree, mobile broadband prices and contract vary quite a lot in Europe. I pay for my Finnish 3G mobile broadband subscription €15 per month, unlimited DL/UL and really good roaming prices abroad, where as my German 3G subscription is €10 more expensive but limited to 2 GB bandwidth per month and roaming costs are huge.

2GB per month? That's too low.

That's a nice rate for an unlimited 3G connection, you know of any houses for sale in Finland?

There's a catch: after a few GB's used, the speed is reduced from 7.2 Mbps to under 200 Kbps, so it's useless if you want to use it for streaming or downloading. Quite fast and practical though when used for basic surfing.

I was just about to run out and get a plane ticket. Oh well, at least I won't get man handled by the TSA.

'Yay Cloud'

Ugh, I hate those bloody ads. MS ads in Aus always tend be either patronizing ,flat out annoying or a mixture of both.

As for the cloud - I'm going to wait until there are actual facts available instead of sheer speculation about it's implementation before making any serious 'for or against' decisions about it.

We can speculate till the cows come home only to find there never were any cows to begin with

Well, XP came out in November of 2001. And it's going to be supported until 2014. So, if we add 13 years onto the date that Windows 7 was released, that takes us from July 2009 till 2022.
That's fine by me.
By then perhaps I'll retire a few years early and go fishing. The 'cloud' can go hike a ride on a nice jet stream.

What is "The Cloud" and does Windows 7 have it?
