    Brazil 3 - USA 2, Closely contested

What an upset for the americans, it's not easy to achieve a second place in these events, they beat strong teams to get to where they are, teams like italy, spain, etc, they'd never come this far before in soccer, I don't think they imagined they could get that far.... Even though they lost, they've outperformed and exceeded a lot of expectations...

    Big-ups to them

It should have been 4-2, that was clearly a goal after the reply was shown. I thought the US had no shot, but they made it interesting in the first half, but I had a feeling they were going to lose when Brazil scored so quickly in the 2nd half.

Yeah it would have been quite embarassing to lose to the US, who is(ehem, was) virtually unknown in the soccer scene, but sure enough Brazil lived up to their rep. and with not much effort(c'mon, don't u agree) turned things around; 1,2 & 3 just like that(call it experience or whatever).... I have to say that I'd have been sad if Brazil had lost, because I was with them on this one.... Good match overall, lots of spectacle, it wasn't the boring 1-0 or even 3-0, each side scored and gave it's best.

This just proves that nothin' is over until the fat lady sings or the whistle is blown...

Yeah , I hear ya. I live in the US but my parents are Portuguese, and I always have followed Portugal and Brazil, because the US doesn't promote futball here enough, we have to many American sports, and no one is interested here. So I had to root for the US, but Brazil winning doesn't bother me. I'm just glad it wasn't Italy ...LOL

I watched the beginning and saw the U.S score 2 goals and then stopped watching since I had some stuff to do and next thing I know it's 3-2 and they lose..
