Windows 9: Smoke

Forget the Cloud...Smoke will be the next big thing in Operating System deployment and usage...

Windows 9: Smoke-windows-smoke.png

Windows 9 will use a completely new kernal system which will allow for complete immersion in software.

We all know that with the 'Cloud' you can produce/take, edit and share images/video/music at the click of a button or touch of a screen.

With new 'Smoke' you will be able to put your hand right through the screen, grab the files you need and move them to your machine (download) via a new Glove/Brain interface which will send electronic signals to your brain which will give you a physical presence in an electronic world.

It's the next major step forward in total immersion video software/hardware that will soon take the computer marked by storm.

Just imagine...You're controlling Lara Croft through a picturesque scene and there's a smoking gun on the floor. You reach your hand out to grab the weapon, only to find that you're instincts have taken control of your hand and you're no longer grabbing for the gun...Just imagine the possibilities...

I mean, honestly, would you go for the gun??

Men around the world, rejoice, the revolution is here

So my 3 yr old Cooler Master 500W PSU went up in smoke today and I replaced it with a new 600 watt PSU. I believe I have made all the connections properly and when I switch the system on, the PSU lights up, the fans work but there is no output on the monitor and even the keyboard doesn't work...

SMOKE from case!
Smoke was coming from my case not too long ago & I haven't used the comfuser since. Today I opened the case to inspect its components. As you can see from the pic below, a SATA connection was cooked. The SATA was going to my optical drive, so that may be a relief. But even after the SATA is...

Smoke and Hardware
I am sure at least a couple of people here are going to have some experience with hardware that has been in a fire. Maybe you know someone who salvaged some hardware from a machine that was in a mild house fire or maybe a business burned and they had hardware that could potentially be saved....

Smoke Ionizer
I'm familiar with the concept of ionizing smoke from the air, but I came across an ad for an item that looks like little more than a modified power supply: TZ-2 OZONE MACHINE TZ2 GENERATOR SMOKE ODOR REMOVAL NEW | eBay The cost is far more than I can afford, but I got to wondering what it...

Candle Smoke
I have never bothered with candles before, but now I have some Lord Byron Smoker's candles, which are supposed to remove tobacco smell from a room. I'm not sure how well that they work, because I have only used one of them for a couple of hours. When I later relit it, it emitted a fairly heavy...
