    I'm not saying that people should use their smartphone as their primary Kindle reading device. It's only a temporary solution when you are stuck somewhere. For me, I actually own a kindle and whenever possible I am going to read on that.

    Yeah, I have the same problem. The smartphones (as nice as they are - e.g. a Moto Atrix) are just too small for me to see things. The 7" seem to be a good compromise between portability and readability.
