GSM Model = Yes
CDMA Model = Likely not

When you are in Canada, switch it to Rogers Network and it should work.

How to tell if you have GSM/CDMA Model?
GSM Model - Has a SIM Card Tray on the right side of the iPhone.
CDMA - Does not have a SIM Card Tray.

There's only 5 versions of the iPhone: original GSM, 3G GSM, 3GS GSM, 4 GSM and 4 CDMA, not that hard really
