Just wanted to say hello
Hi all have just installed W7 RC on an old PC and some parts bought/ scavenged from Ebay and my local PC repair shop:
Specs:
Dell Optiplex 240
Pentium 4 @ 1.4ghz
1 gb ram
80gb hard drive
Maxtor (agp) graphics card (runs directx 9)
The whole outlay £42!!
Obviously not a high end PC, but I took microsofts min requirements to see what it would do!!
First impressions, it runs pretty fast on 1gb ram, Vista wouldn't do that!!
Speedy load up.
To many customization options for the desktop!!
Anyway look forward to putting up some more posts as things develop.
