You know the old saying if you have to ask you probably cannot afford it.

Wow thanks for the advice guys !! I will prob give the brothals a miss as going with the girlfriend. I think I would like to see most of the idea you had and found a helicopter company that fly past the hoover damm and to grand canyon I have been told this is much better than a plane? also get to fly down Las Vegas Strip too

What you think?

I have hired a Mustang Convertible if dollar dont mess it up just download co pilot GPS for I phone apprantly does not need cell phone signal as would get very expensive with data roaming.

Well, when you get off the plane at the terminal, be prepared for slot machines at the airport. They are everywhere.

The Vegas hotels offer the best buffets for your money (they make their money off gambling, so the buffets are usually excellent and cheap to bring in the people).

Safe journey to you & your girlfriend

I do not think you have to worry about GPS. There are only a handful of streets in the desert. Just keep going straight. And fill the gas tank whenever possible. Some areas are really deserted - but pretty. Especially towards Death Valley which you really should not miss - stay one night in the valley lodge.

Bring hats if you want to drive with in an open convertible. Sunstrokes are terrible and you can catch one quickly. I only put the top down at night - temperature allowing.

And keep a few quarts of drinking water in the car all the time.

Good advice. This is not Europe. As soon as you leave Vegas or Palm Springs, you are on your own.

Or you could forget the water, drive to the Bunny Ranch & then tell your girlfriend you ended up there because you were lost, delusional, dehydrated and desperately needed a drink....

Hey, it might work......

But yeah...the desert has a way of sucking the moisture out of you, so stay hydrated....
