    Logging into My XP computer


    I need some help, basically i have a window's xp operating system at home and When i log into my computer i have to press ctrl+alt and delete to log in with username: Administrator and no password and just press Enter. When i go into the account settings i have typed a password for the administrator account and then turn it off. To see if the ctrl+alt page goes. As i want to turn on my computer and go straight to the desktop. But I don't know how to turn this off.

    Any Advice on how to turn this off.....?

    Welcome Jack All:

    A program that allows you to autologon to windows xp (one is called powertoys.

    Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP

    or just search microsoft for powertoys and you can then download and run the program which has an option
    to autologon and a few other neat things.

    Enabling or disabling Secure Logon is really quite easy...

    Important: You must be logged in using an Administrator account before proceeding with these instructions.

    For Windows XP

    • Go to Start, then select Run
    • Copy the text in the code box below, then paste it in the "Run" window and hit enter
      Code:
      Control Userpasswords2
    • The User Accounts window will now be open - Select the Advanced tab.
    • In the Secure logon section, click the Require users to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete check box
    • Close the Secure logon window. The next time you reboot, you will be prompted to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to log in to your computer.
