Trying to find out why my networking was so stupidly slow on a linux install once I actually saw the following comment in some commonly distributed NIC driver code:

"I didn't have time to implement full duplex mode, do it yourself if you need it, that's what Open Source is all about".

So yeah Something about "That's what the Open Source community is for" maybe?
