The biggest disappointment of my life: I missed this:

and the party in Helsinki, capital of Finland, the following day:

I don't normally cry or show emotions because of sports but this... this is different. Thanks, Leijonat (lions in English)!

Hello there, forums...

It's been a little while since the last time i wrote here... University has been really time-consuming these weeks, luckily i'll be out for a 2-week vacation in a week actually i'm done with 3 of the 6 courses i'm having right now.. grades were really high (19 out of 20) in all 3, hopefully i'll get my scholarship this semester.

I'd just left you a visitor message Kari before I saw this post of yours, it's so good to see you back posting and I'm very pleased to hear the operation went well. Please take things easy so you make a full recovery, don't make Angie mad by doing things you shouldn't we don't want her banning you from the forums.

Welcome back you don't know how relieved we all are that you came through the operation.

Thanks, Joan.

BTW, regarding the last post of mine: Of course, the biggest disappointment was to miss Dinesh' wedding. I was just so concentrated to watch the games I missed, I forgot that for a moment and posted what I posted. I love Ice-Hockey and as an ex-pat it's something that connects me with my native Finland.

Dinesh, I call you when Hans comes to visit me and can help me making the call. You would not understand my lisp at the moment, I need an interpreter to translate my notes and mumbling to understandable speech .

They opened some veins and removed something that did not belong in my head which to my great relief was confirmed not to be cancerous. I was transferred from hospital to a rehabilitation clinic very close to Berlin on Monday, staying here at least 4 to 5 weeks. Although it's not as being home but at least I now can dress on my own clothes, move more freely (slowly, with walker. Photos follow...), and the room looks and feels more like a nice hotel than a hospital room full with equipment and that smell of hospitals I very much dislike. I still talk like a Bulgarian talking Chinese with a hot potato in his mouth but the staff here seems to understand me.

Life is getting better and easier every day. I'm back using on-screen keyboard and trackball, but at least I can access the net. Even connection to my own VPN works, and it's fast enough to watch streaming television from Finland. I missed Ice-Hockey World Championships so now I'm watching all Team Finland games from my IPTV service. For those interested, Finland send Russia home on semi-finals, and beat Sweden on final with 6 to 1 . Final took place on 15th of May.

Please lets not make a fuss about this. I was sicker I wanted to admit, doctors fixed it, and now I'm going to be as active here as I can.

See you.

Kari

Yes, once or twice rapidly checked messages. Angie would not let me use computer and mobile phone so it was all I could do.
