Punkster I'm so sorry to hear your sad news, but try to remember all the good memories you must have and that will help you through this time of grieving, sending you my best wishes.

Today I've been cleaning my gutters out, well one sides done, in some parts it looked as if a field was growing, I'm paying for it now though and hurt

Condolences for your loss Punkster. As Joan says, the end result of the grieving process will be warm memories of this man and joy at having the privilege of having known him.
Regarding the work stuff, well done:)

I just had a great 'phone call:

    phone: ring, ring...
    me: Hello.
phone: Am I speaking to Mr Williams?
    me: Yes
phone: This is Tony from the pc laboratory
    me: Hi Tony, what's up?
phone: Our systems have noticed a serious infection in your pc. It is known as a trojan!
me: Oh dear, What can I do?
phone: Press the Widows key on your pc. The one with the Windows picture on it.
    me: Ok, I've done that.
    phone: What do you see?
me: It's raised the compiz cube.
phone: What? You could destroy your pc. Press the Windows key on your keyboard!! What do you see?
me: the compiz cube, if I want to rotate it I have to use the arrows.
phone: You must open your event's viewer!
me: Righto. Not quite sure how to get to that in Linux Mint, hang on I'll see...
    phone: Brrrrrrr....

I have an internet friend I haven't chatted with in years. He had...computer skillz :) He once had someone try that on him, asked to connect remotely. Bad mistake. My friend turned the tables, and set off a chain of events that would end with the callers PC making a nice doorstop :)
