Nice Osprey link, thanks Kari. Good to see you posting again.

Today I pulled the PSU out of my main rig, wouldn't start last night.
It has power to the PSU but, nothing coming out.
    Did the usual tests, nothing.

Hoping for a good visit to the shop I bought it from, 15 months ago.

    Update:
New PSU installed and everything is working fine.

A little grief from the computer shop, as expected, sounds like it can be worked out.

Now I'll get the PSU off the bench and in the box, run all the cables. This one is modular so should be a little easier.

I really hate this, being completely useless. It's past 3 AM, lying in the bed, looking at my beautiful sleeping Angie. I need to get to the loo, but to do that I would need to wake up Angie.

Lately I have been thinking how much easier my Angie had it without me. Calm down, geeks, I'm a coward! I'll do nothing. Just thinking...

Kari, you probably know Angie very well. Think about it, do you think she'd have you think twice about waking her up? Do you think she thinks twice about helping you recover? I know you don't want to be a burden, but I think I can assure you it is an act of love for her anytime she can assist you. Hang in there, it is one of lifes tests, and I am sure you will soon pass this test as well. Take care, Bill

Well said Bill, I'm sure you know Kari she just wants you to get well and will do anything to make that happen and if being woken up a few times is the price she pays I'm sure that she is more than willing to pay it.

So stop feeling sorry for yourself and feel happy you're alive, I know we all are.

Speaking as an Angie we would much rather look after our other halfs than face the alternative! Its a small price we pay! But well worth it!

Today my fiancee of three years found out her cancer has returned. Thought we had it beat a year and a half ago after she went through chemo, radiation, double mastectomy, and tons of bureaucratic paperwork to keep her medical insurance in force from her former employer. Tomorrow she has to see her cardiologist because her pacemaker (courtesy of congestive heart failure due to the chemo) has been zapping her for no apparent reason. We haven't been able to get married because if she has another source of income (mine) she loses her low income benefits, including her insurance. (I can't get her on my insurance because of her pre-existing conditions.)

People have told me I should dump her and find someone else. Someone without so many problems and issues. But it's a privilege and honor to know this woman ... to help her ... to be a part of her life ... no matter how much longer that might be. Because she has enriched my life beyond measure and has shown me what true grace and dignity are all about.

Kari, I got a feeling your Angie feels the same way about you!

My hat is off to you.
Most people would have run away three years ago.

Well done. A giant among men.

Will put you and yours in my prayers.
