I named myself after one of my sons toys , I liked them because they are a bit trippy and abstract ,so it seemed an apparent title .

I seen that Boohbah show once. Me and a couple of mates watched it and couldn't stop laughing. It's so weird.

Mine comes from a guy named Chris Raab who was in Jackass and CKY. He done this skit called Slouzbry Stouvre for KeyKey which I thought was hilarious. In the show his nickname is Rabb Himself. I've been using it for years for nearly all forum names and email addresses.

When I first went online in 1982 or 1983 I used the alias Tom Sawyer on the local BBSes because I'm a Mark Twain fan. But, once I got on the Internet around 1996 or so I kept finding that name already taken on all the new sites and forums I tried to sign up on. So, I started using a more obscure Mark Twain character name. Tom Canty was the poor kid in the book The Prince and the Pauper. I also made it a little more formal, using Thomas instead of just Tom.

By the mid-1940’s, tall, black-clad, grey-haired, Hoppy & his faithful horse Topper became household names in more than 50 big screen westerns for movie producer Harry Sherman. From 1949 - 1952 William adapted Hoppy to the small screen with great success.

    Hopalong Cassidy.
Cowboy character created in 1904 by Clarence E. Mulford in 28 novels.

An old movie serial from the 1940's and TV show of the 1950's.
Played by the actor William Boyd. This is where I learned about Hoppy.

Competition to the Lone Ranger and Roy Rogers at the time.
My favorite cowboy at that time.

They were showing reruns on Saturday morning when I saw them 1958-63.
According to my parents I started watching Hoppy when I was 2 years old.
    1958.

I much preferred Roy Rogers and Trigger, but it was mainly because of the horse, bought my eldest son a palomino when he was younger.

mickey megabyte was a character in a fairly average 90s sci-fi novel (the alien years by robert silverberg).

basically, nasty aliens had taken over the earth, and mickey megabyte was the hacker name of a human who managed to get into their network and took them down from the inside.

i suppose back then, a megabyte meant something...
