    REP my friend.....

    your rank is based on a point system which is attained when ''tipping the scales'' at the top of a worthy post.

    Supporter = Made a donation

    # Skilled = 100 Rep
    # Power User = 400 Rep
    # Seven Pro = 600 Rep
    # Seven Guru = 1000 Rep

    no, sorry let me be a little clearer...

    you would need 100 points to reach ''skilled'' but 100 ppl do not have to rep you to attain this..
    1 member does not represent 1 rep point (in most cases)

    as your post count increases your ''rep power'' will rise, this is what you give to others when you ''tip their scales''

    a member with a ''rep power'' of 40 could ''tip'' a worthy post you wrote & you would instantly have 40 points...

    And how do you tip a member? Is it the Rate Thread option when you reply?

    At the top (on right hand side) is a little scale across from the member's name. You click on that scale to give the member rep/points.

    A clarification: some time ago the system was changed so that the rep one user can give was limited to 25 points due to the misuse of rep system. For example, my rep power is at the moment 60 points but if I rep you, you only got 25 points.

    TDK08, you seem to be a Power User with less than half of the rep points it normally takes, maybe you have had a couple of really good posts and you were promoted early? Your next promotion would be to Seven Pro when you get 600 rep points, as told here.
