My home telephone system is configured not to ring. Ever.

Unidentified telephone numbers are routed to wav file intercepts. Example - Dinesh calls from work. CID indicates the originating call is from 800 number/known DOD trunk exchange - route to SIT tone, "This number is no longer in service".

Identified, approved number calls. CID indicates Dinesh is calling. Computer plays theme Baby Elephant Walk over the speakers. If I do not answer, Dinesh hears - "Thank you for calling Dinesh... Please leave a message".
Beautiful !

Antman, you are truly an inspiration for the rest of us !

A similar system appeared in the UK on the TV program "dragons den" some time ago. I believe it is soon to be made available commercially worldwide.
