Joan, went to see your website. Maybe a stupid question, but do you make these cross stitch works freehand or do you have a pattern there first?
BTW, nice work!
Kari
Hi Kari, not a stupid question at all. You do have a pattern, when I was model stitching for the shop it was a question of working from a piece of graph paper with rough sketches of the finished article and I had to stitch it how I thought it should look, it usually worked out OK an I was mainly on the same wave length as the designer. Those are the ones in the Model Stitching folder.
You still work from a pattern when you buy a kit and you usually get the pattern printed out on a chart with the colour key and the kit contains that chart the floss and a piece of fabric. Cross stitch involves a lot of counting as one stitch out of sync can cause havoc
Edit: Thanks for the compliment.

My girlfriend likes to mess my hair up (its longer than most. Picture Shaggy from Scooby-Doo) and then laughs at me. And then she will mess with it some more so it looks like it did when I was young(er, as in when my mom picked my hairstyle), which was one of those dorky combovers.

Oh right its the 'today' thread. Today I woke up to find my cat on me keyboard, with my messenger on, wifi off (no clue how that works), Chrome open with about 30 tabs, filter keys on, oh and my favorite, somehow the apple site was set as my homepage =.="
