i just got a ****pickle of a hair cut. was going good at first. a #4 all around (1/2 inch blade on the buzzers) then i ran into a little problem. i could get that little piece next to my ear on either side. so i enlisted my stepma to help me out. but i failed to realize that see is blind as a bat, and she loped off a chunck of my sideburn on one side... so i had to even it out, and it looks retarded. good thing i wear glasses, so you cant really notice it (the big bald chop over my ear)....

i dont even want to see what she did to the back of my neck
so im just going to wear a hooded sweatshirt till it grows back.

I must say that this post has received a great bit of mileage. It is just fun to read from what this started out as to where it as gone. It is interesting to read some of the unique things people come up with. It reminds me of a time back in the early 80s when me and my XO (Executive Officer) would set on the bridge of the Destroyer I was commanding and watch the crew—it was comical watching the things they would do when they thought no one was watching.

i just rigged another fan up to the outside of my case (side vent). looks like crap, but it works. dropped inner temp by ~10 degrees. i had to splice up a bunch of wires, and bend a few things.... yay. now all i have to do is put some screening over the blades. it caught my finger 2x already

    Today,
I just got back from shopping.
Bought me a charcoal-burning Weber BBQ grille, 18.5", like I had in early 70s.

That freakin gas thing on the patio is 'convenient', but cannot do a proper steak.

Tomorrow I'm gonna buy a couple of 2" thick fillets and 2 monster Bahamian lobster tails.
A very big bottle of Absolute vodka and a decent red or two or three.
Have a few martinis for 'Sundowner's.

Screw this 'sardines' and peanut butter crap! (Figuratively speaking...)

I want a real Labor Day "end of summer".

Today I spent $70 USD on hair colouring.

I messed up the colouring myself so they had to do something fancy to remove the horror and apply a much nicer tone.
I am actually in the phase of growing longer hair so going bold wasn't acceptable.

Nice quiet day here in West Aus.
Went to the computer store to get a few things for the Handbrake.
A 1tb black WD, 2 x 8 gig thumbdrives, a copy of Vista Ultimate (with Win 7 thingy) and a usb disk dock.

Not bad, considering yesterday i got her 3 x 1.5tb drives for her comp, to replace 3 x 1tb drives, which are now hooked up in usb enclosures. Gives her 8.5tb of disk space.
She has big plans apparently. Not game to ask, lol.
