Today has not been so good day for me.

According to a proverb from my home country Finland "The best way to loose a friend is to start a business together or borrow him some money". That's precisely what happened, I had to fire a friend & coworker today.

He's one of my oldest friends, been working with me several years now. Last couple of years I've tolerated quite a lot, not willing to do what I should have done a long time ago.

I feel I am an a**hole, don't know how to maintain a friendship even we no longer can work together. Already thinking what my wife says when she returns home on Sunday and hears about this; she's best friends with his wife.

    Life sux!

Hi, I bet your not the first and you won't be the last to be in a situation like that, I'm sure it wasn't an easy thing to have do, and as you know these things have a way of working themselves out for the best in the end. I'm sure you made the right decision, so don't let it get you down ok.

Today, well, last night to be perfectly honest, I lost power during a particularly strong thunderstorm ( not that uncommon in the Hinterlands ) and of course, I wasnt able to boot completely into W7. I was able to use Acronis boot loader and was back up and running within 30 minutes... Backup images are a good thing!!

    Restoring...

Rented 3 Blue-Rays, stocked the bar. Roast beef is in the owen, table set. As much as I love my wife and miss her when she's not with me, I have to say I also like a night alone at home. Especially Friday night, no hurry to get to bed, no hurry tomorrow to wake up.

That's the song that inspired me to move to Phoenix in 1976 from cold & rainy Ohio

Now It's so HOT in Arizona, even the rain is afraid to come here
