    I'm surprised I can still get a signal on my phone this far out of town.

    I ran out of petrol literally 5 minutes away from my destination. I had just come off of the motorway. I know the area, and there's a service station about 20 minutes walk in the opposite direct to which I just came, so will see what's there fuel/food wise.

    The motorway had a few wrecked cars along it.The odd zombie was along the way as well, but got quieter the further I came in to the country. Hopefully this service station will be empty too. Can't get hold of my friend though, so gonna have to wait until I reach his house.

    It's getting dark now, so better get a move on.

    I am trying to find out how these sluggish things who can barely walk manage to keep up with the rest of us who remain healthy. I have trapped several test subjects and fenced them in a 1/2 acre area with raw meat ontop of various things to test their climbing ability. So far, ladders are no match. Climbing sticks & off set steps they cannot seem to yet master. So I have several stashes of ammo located in trees around the property for last stand situations.
    I don't undertstand how it is they can have a limb rot off yet chew threw legs. In one trap coyotes got to the subject before I did. The next day I found this guy in a nearby trap;

    Week #2; as I thought, no mammal or k9 is immune to the affects of exposure or ingestion of their blood & flesh. All stored foodstock without refrideration is soon to expire. With luck the well will not become contaminated, there is no trust in running water as it has seem to have spoiled even nearby wildlife. Waterfoul & Turkeys seem normal. Also concerned about the upcomming warmer temperatures - first comes the skeeters, then gnats then biting flies. Who could easily carry infectious properties. Any venture outdoors at this point requires complete skin protection from blood sucking insects. I look like something out of CoD4.
    Captured an infected racoon, feeding it things to test it's reaction for a possible natural cure in case of exposure.

    Lads I know you have to keep it quiet, so I will be brief, just a quick question, how long do you recon you will be surviving for, like do you recon I should get a babysitter?

    week #3;
    The good; I have found feeding raw wild turkey eggs to the infected critters seems to have nullified and reduced rabid like zombie behaviour. The solar panel with a charge controller maintains a deep cycle that I run a dc charger from, for the AA & AAA lighting - flashlights. Led flashlights are the way to go.
    The bad; wild turkeys are not like chickens, they only have a breif breeding period maybe 2 months tops. A hen will only redo a nest so many times before the area is abandon. I have injured my leg and have trouble putting weight on it. If it gets infected I am without amoxicillan - pennicilan. Skeeters are starting to get thick. Well water is abundant but has a swampy taste even after a cloth filter. It does however, offer a quite cold way to keep marginaly clean.
    I have found some wild onions while out tracking for small game choke points. Also the wild apple trees are starting to bud. If I survive and can keep the tent catipilars off them they might produce a good food source in the months to come. Also found a spool of barbed wire that might be of use. Dry woodland ground helps alert to the presence of unwanted guests. Only had to exterminate 3 zombies last week. Most ground is interweaved with roots and quite rocky, very difficult to dig or burry anything. To reduce the attraction of dead flesh from small game or zombies I have burned the remains.
