    RiM Playbook

In today's Zdnet feed I found this Playbook review which I thought is quite interesting. The Playbook is available since yesterday (e.g. at BestBuy). So I thought it was timely to share this.

My coworker purchased one of these, but I was on vacation this week so I haven't had a chance to see it yet. He is a huge blackberry fan, acknowledges several things are missing, but is expecting software updates to rectify the problems. He is enamored with how smooth and fluid the UI is.

Yeah, the performance is generally being praised. The main feature that is missing is a micro SD card slot. I would not buy any Tab without it. But it is too early for Tabs anyhow. I wait until at least the end of the year for that market to settle down a bit. After all, those are gadgets that we do not really need.

Agreed. I think they are pointless and far too expensive. I'd rather use my laptop with a real keyboard any day of the week. I've used iPad's, Samsung Galaxy Tabs, chinese ePed's, and soon this Rim playbook...but none of them seem like the right thing for me.
