    Is there any way to fix a rrod for the xbox without sending it it? Can anyone help?

    Yes, I've done a few. You more or less have to take it apart, remove the heat sinks, clean up the thermal paste, remove the xclamps from the underside. Get some bolts and nylon washers and put it back together again with a good thermal paste like Artic Silver. There are many websites explaining this process in more detail. Search for xclamp removal.

    if its still under warranty, send it back to them. The only reason why i opened mine up is because my extended warranty ran out a few hours before i called. Im serious the guy on the phone told me if i had called earlier i would have qualified, but you know me i like to procrastinate. Now i got on opened up 360 laying around, it works but i have yet to fully fix it.

    If you are under warranty, send it in. Without question, don't fix it yourself.
